ANDERSON PARK

Public BBQ

Andersen Park sits at Young's old train station, offering expansive shade under mature plane trees. The park includes electric barbecues, picnic tables, and a small fenced playground suitable for younger children. The grassed area slopes toward the adjacent road, making it less ideal for ball games. Parking is available under the trees, and toilets are on-site. The location hosts community events including the National Cherry Festival in early December, with rides and competitions, plus regular markets. Young's Visitor Information Centre operates from the old station building directly opposite. Dogs on leash are permitted. The park serves as a popular rest stop for travellers, with grass maintained despite frequent foot traffic. Shade coverage makes it comfortable for lunch breaks and gatherings year-round.
